Today I am excited to announce that my fine art photography prints are finally launching next week!

I'm thrilled to announce that my nature and landscape photography prints will be available for purchase starting next week!

These high-quality art prints will be shipped worldwide, produced by a trusted professional printing lab to ensure exceptional quality in every print. Whether you're looking to bring a piece of Finnish Lapland's breathtaking scenery into your home or gift someone unique artwork, these prints are crafted to impress.

This week, I also wanted to share a little bit of my journey to this point and how I got to sell my own prints with just under 2 years of photography experience.

How it all started

I have been passionate about technology and have been a gamer for as long as I can remember. If someone needed help with tech-related problems, I was there to help.

In addition, I’ve always loved learning. I excelled in school, often taking on personal projects and experimenting with new things. That curiosity and drive for learning followed me through high school -- which I actualy just finished last week!

This mix of technology, creativity and curiosity turned out to be the perfect foundation for my journey into landscape photography.

I was fascinated by cameras and the technology behind them, but I also loved the learning process of photography itself. I knew photography had a steep learning curve, so I made it my goal to push through and master it.

In May 2023 I got my first camera -- a Canon M50 Mark II. It was an amazing beginner-friendly camera, easy to use yet powerful enough to capture stunning shots.

Almost immediately, I had the opportunity to spend a week photographing the breathtaking mountains of Norway. I took over 6000 photos in just one week -- safe to say, I was hooked.

When I returned home, I realized I didn’t just want to keep the all of the photos to myself. But at the same time, I was a beginner, and I was afraid of how others would react to my work.

I wondered: "What if people think my photos are bad? What if they criticize me?"

Then I had a shift in mindset: Don’t worry about what others think -- do it for yourself.”

Thanks to my background in gaming, school, and supportive friends, I was able to overcome my fears. And to my surprise, people loved my photography and showed incredible support.

Now I post every single day and that consistency has been key to my growth as a photographer over the past two years. I wouldn’t have learned nearly as much if I hadn't committed to sharing my photography on Instagram.

Starting the business

At the start of 2024, I found myself feeling stuck. Simply posting my landscape photography on Instagram wasn’t enough—I needed a bigger purpose and a clear goal behind my work.

I knew two things for certain:

  1. I loved photography

  2. I loved sharing my work with others

Then, I connected the dots. If I wanted to continue doing photography long-term, I needed to turn it into something sustainable. That’s when I made a life-changing decision:

I decided to start my own photography business.

When you are doing what you love, it doesn’t feel like work. Imagine working as a photographer when you love doing it.

That’s why I decided to start my own business.

During April and May I applied for funding and started learning the basics of running a business. Keep in mind, I had zero experience in business management -- but I was ready to learn everything on my own.

I knew it was a risk because it would be time consuming and would potentially hurt my success I was having in high school. But it was something I was ready to do.

In May 2024 I upgraded my camera to high-megapixel full frame camera, Sony A7R III, which I am still using. That wasn’t just a purchase, it was an investment towards the future.

I spent all of the Summer taking photos and learning the basics of business management. At the end of the summer I got approved for funding, which allowed me to travel to Norway and several other locations for photography.

The funding also allowed me to buy all of the programs I needed for editing my photos and videos.

The funding required me to take several online classes on various topics. These included digital marketing, SEO, photography theory and couple others.

I had to to this for almost 15 hours a week for four months while I also have high school at the same time. That was the busiest four months of my life but it was also very helpful in the end.

Getting my business out to the world

Now I knew the basics and what I had to do to grow my audience and make my photography business more visible online.

One of my first major steps was building my own website -- a place to showcase my landscape photography, share my journey, and offer valuable products.

To give back to the photography community, I created my first free product -- a collection of my most-used presets up until that point. This pack is still available today, and many of you have already downloaded it!

Over the next few months, I continued working on my website and developing new products, all while also studying for my exams.

One of my biggest goals was to sell my own fine art prints, even though I knew the demand might be low at first. But that didn't matter to me -- I was passionate about it and wanted to make it happen.

In November 2024, I took the first big step:

I reached out to a professional printing lab to discuss my plands for launching high-quality landscape photography prints.

I wanted to get them out as soon as possible but soon my studies forced me to put everything on hold while to focus on my studies.

Now, after months of work, learning and preparation, I am finally in a point that I can start actually selling the prints.

It feels absolutely incredible.

I hope you enjoy these prints as much as I do! If I could, I’d frame every single one of them and fill my entire space with these breathtaking landscapes.

What is the future looking like?

What’s the future looking like then? Well, I can tell you that many interesting things are in the works.

Movie Preset Pack - A passion project

One of my biggest upcoming releases is my Movie Preset Pack, which I’ve been sharing all about on my socials. This is a true passion project -- I’m not creating it for huge income but simply because I love making it.

Social Media Template Pack -- Create Stunning Content Faster

Another project I'm excited about is my social media template pack. This pack includes:

  • The covers and layouts I use for my social media posts

  • Lightroom tutorial templates

  • potentially my reels workflow

I think many of you will find this incredibly useful for creating fast, high-quality content with minimal effort!

Now that I have more time on my hands I can make more products at a faster rate and make more content.

Soon I will start my 30-days of photography tips, which will provide a lot of free high value photography knowledge. I'm also planning to put more effort will be put towards my videos very soon.

During Summer and Autumn it is very likely that my posting will slow down. This is because I am leaving for Interrail with my friend in June and in July I am going to the Finnish army for military service.

Don’t know how long I’ll be there. Maybe six months, maybe nine, perhaps a year. Only time will tell.

Beyond that? I’m still figuring things out. I’ve applied to university to study mechanical engineering, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s the path I want to take.

We'll see where life takes me!

That's it for this week!

I hope you enjoyed reading a little about my journey. It’s only at its beginning but I couldn't be more excited for what's ahead.

When you truly believe in something, you can achieve it.

That is one important lesson I have learned during this journey. I basically learned everything from scratch in regards of photography and my business. In addition, I did all of that in under two years while still being in school.

Wishing you an amazing end to the week, and I'll see you all next week with another blog post!
